Since Madotsuki has never spoken and all we know about her is completley up to interpretation through her
apartment and dreams to what she is like as a person. I see Madotsuki as a hikikomori with severe agoraphobia
who turns to lucid dreaming as an escape from reality (A pretty common interpretation),,, my headcanon age
for her is 18-23 since she lives alone in her own apartment so unless she had parental consent to live there
she's over the age of 18. Here are some headcanons of the signifigance of the other characters in her dreams:

-I think Poniko could be a neighbor of her's that she wishes she could talk to but
could never bring herself to, so she often appears in dreams (although she doesn't even acknowledge Madot...
much like in her real life).

-Monoko and Monoe are two old classmates of Madotsuki, monoko being a close friend
in elementary who was killed in a car crash (shitai-san being the driver who was killed along with her, and
monoe being a girl who went missing but who's face always stuck in Madot's mind.

-The Girl in the igloo is Madot in her youth (around the time that monoko died) when she started to develop
avoidant tendencies and started learning how to lucid dream.

-The toriningen are how Madot views people: hostile and cruel with some exeptions

I came up with these in class like a month ago -.- ,, I kinda project my problems with anxiety onto Madot so
that might be why I really like her character so much even though she never speaks
(+ my envy of people who can lucid dream and my general slothfullness),,,, she's a blank slate for introverted
losers to relate to lol,, I actually just downloaded Yume Nikki recently and the looping worlds drive me nuts!
It's impossible to navigate anything!! I actually never remembered the igloo girl and the corpse on the road
(which people made into a characters???) ,, I drew both of the images (the second one being with a wacom which
I've never used before so it's kinda rough, sorry)
